Halfway through any playoff series is a great time to stop and look at what the statistical indicators are telling us. Everything is small sample size, sure, but we’re also in the Finals. Process doesn’t matter much anymore. We care about results.

This has been an unusual Finals matchup from a numbers perspective. We’ve seen the Pacers win despite committing a billion turnovers, and we’ve seen the Thunder win while making three triples as a team. There hasn’t been a lot of consistency to draw upon. Each game’s been its own beautiful snowflake.

In other words, I have no idea what will happen in the next two or three games! But there are still a few patterns that have emerged. Here’s what’s stood out to me so far.

Did you know that only one player on either team has had a positive plus/minus in all four matches? Pardon the clickbaity language, but the answer shocked me.
