Great piece, Mike. Love that you touched on Wemby's passing ability. He'll whip out a pass every so often that just makes me think "oh right, he can do that, too..."
I'm not a college/international guy; players don't really enter my narrow basketball view until they stop onto an NBA court. So all I heard about Wemby coming into this year was that passing was his greatest weakness, and I haven't found that to be true at all! It's been a pleasant surprise, and he's getting better at it with every game.
As a Lakers fan, I'm sighing as I think of Monk and Caruso starring on other teams...
Who knows? Caruso may be on his way back! Although I think his fit there may be a bit less certain than other places.
I was never particularly high on Monk. His growth in Sacramento has been a lot of fun. Goes to show what new environments and maturation can do.
Yeah, and there is definitely the LeBron Effect. Some good players just wilt as his teammate.
