I get the sense that if Jovic hits, we may have a slightly less athletic Deni Avdija on our hands, at a similar level of bargain contract. The way you detailed Jovic’s game makes me think that his best case scenario as a player would get him traded (or maybe in a 99% outcome see the team reset around him and someone else) because the larger problem with Miami’s offense is that the Heat are all Robins with no Batman and that’s with Herro.
Right, I’m not sure Jovic would ever be seen as a missing piece worth trading for, but I do think he has some upside as a helpful role player/fifth starter type. Hes very similar to Santi Aldama!
Gotta start with health, though. If he can’t stay on the court, he’ll never be able to really improve and/or show his trade value
But they need a catalyst for change. We know what Herro, Bam, and Powell can do, and we have an idea of where their ceilings are. If the team to rise above, some of the young guys will need to exceed expectations. I’m putting my chips (cautiously) on Jovic.
“The writing on the wall is in washable marker” is the poetry we subscribe to!!
Deeply nerdy topic. Bravo!!
Thanks! Glad you liked it

Great piece!
Don't they have two other all stars?!
Three, if you ask Norm Powell!

lol
Bam’s current level is way below his ceiling; a lot is being left on the table there.
