Devastating news from Shams Charania broke Thursday afternoon: Victor Wembanyama will be shut down for the season to recover from deep vein thrombosis (more specifically, a blood clot in his shoulder).
Thanks. Yeah, Chris Bosh is always what I worry about with this stuff -- I was really nervous when Ausar Thompson didn't start the season playing, so I'm glad he was able to get back on the court!
Great point, I forgot about that. Yeah, from what I recall, it was about his comfort level, and I think the Spurs would still likely want him to get some reps with the rest of the guys if he's not doing further damage.
If they start winning games, though, that might change.
Gonna miss Wemby, hopefully a full recovery 🙏
Well penned, my friend. It’s sad when our own bodies get in the ways of great promise. I think of Chris Bosh and Sam Bowie. Let’s hope he can continue

I think Fox needs finger surgery in the offseason, I expect that to come earlier now

He does need chemistry with the other guys. I don’t think he’s getting shut down tomorrow, but probably before the end of the season.
