After some initial bluster, Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve Ballmer has decided to accept the NBA’s punishment, allowing us to all move on with the upcoming season (thank the basketball gods).
In the wake of the punishment levied on the Clippers, I think the Leonard trade makes even more sense. Ingram isn't elite, but his scoring offers a floor on team performance that should keep the Clippers out of the bottom 3. And it's not like the Clippers will be attracting star-level talent soon, so they have the flexibility to eat large contracts in exchange for picks.
I agree wholeheartedly. I think it was more than they could have reasonably expected, honestly, particularly since the trade was made while the outcome of the investigation was still uncertain.
I love Toronto, the city. I like the team too. I wonder why Leonard loves Toronto so much. I remember when NBA players did not want to play in Canada, or am I imagining that? Did Vince change that perception? Did a championship? Anyway, since "dead shark eyes" never reveals anything I do wonder why HE likes it.
